Meet Mr. Butler

Spend some time getting to know Charles Butler, New York City attorney and owner of Linwood, our gracious 1859 Berkshire “cottage” overlooking the Housatonic River. Mr. Butler will greet you in the library to share stories of his life and times and introduce you to the household staff. Space is limited to 20 people maximum; reservations required.

Adult Writing Workshop:
Writing from Life

Join author and editor Vivian Dorsel, founder of Ledgetop Publishing and editor of the literary annual, upstreet, to discover how your own experience can inspire and inform your writing—from fiction to creative non-fiction. Bring your journals, letters, and other mementos to stimulate your memories of the people, places, and events that are important to you. This workshop will help infuse your writing with a richness of detail and your own unique voice.

Bring your favorite writing materials and lunch; beverages and snacks provided. $15 members, $25 non-members. Registration required by January 5, 2009.
